Fall Contest Results

The Fall Box Tops Contest has ended and what a huge success it was! Over five thousand Box Tops were contributed during the contest which earned more than five hundred dollars for Manning Oaks!

And now for the winners...........

Well done to Mrs. Strickland's third grade class who came out in the lead with 520 Box Tops contributed by their class alone! Pictured above is Ms. Strickland's class enjoying their popsicle party.

Ryan Symons in Ms. Revels first grade is our other contest winner! Ryan contributed 371 Box Tops during the Fall Contest and has won a $25 gift card from Target! Way to go Ryan!

There were so many individuals that turned in amazing numbers of Box Tops. Everyone that turned in more than fifty Box Tops is listed below in the "Fabulous Fifty Club" club. Those that turned in more than one hundred Box Tops are listed in the "Happening Hundred Club".

Think outside the box for Box Tops!

It's hard not to get excited when you realize how easy it is to earn cash for our school with the Box Tops program. Box Tops are now on hundreds of commonly used products. Go on a hunt in your pantry and you will be amazed at the number of products that carry the Box Tops logo. You can print out a list of all the participating products in the "Useful links that you can use" section of this page or by going to the Box Tops website at http://www.boxtops4education.com/AboutBoxTops/Products.aspxWe We are only scratching the surface with respect to how much our school could benefit from the Box Tops program.

In addition to clipping Box Tops at home, don't be shy about asking grandparents, aunts and uncles or even co-workers if they will collect Box Tops for you. Maybe your boss would allow you to decorate a shoe box with the Box Tops logo and a caption that reads "Your Box Tops can help support Manning Oaks Elementary". If you ask, you'll find that there are lots of people that would love to donate their Box Tops to help support MOE. Get creative and see how many people you can get to save their Box Tops for you!

Do you ever shop online at Merchant's like Oriental Trading, Kaybee Toys, Target or the Gap? You could be earning cash for Manning Oaks whenever you shop at dozens of retailers like these and many more! When you visit the Box Tops Marketplace you can select from numerous retailers and click on the link to go directly to that retailers site. When you link to these retailers from the Box Top marketplace, they will donate anywhere from 1.5% up to 8% off your purchase directly to Manning Oaks at no additional cost to you! What an effortless and wonderful way to earn earn cash for our school and Boost our Box Tops earnings! Research suggests that the average family will spend $500 to $600 on Holiday Shopping and about 30% of that amount will be spent online. Did you know that since the program began 11 years ago, schools in the United States have earned over $200 million from the Box Tops Program?

Last year, the top Box Tops earning school in the U.S was Red Bird Mission School in Beverly, Kentucky with earnings of $27,574. The top Box Tops earning school in Georgia was Peebles Elementary in Fayetteville with earnings of $5,550. It takes involvement from students, parents and teachers alike to achieve earnings like that but I believe we can make MOE a top earning school as well.

Each Box top that is clipped earns ten cents for our school. That adds up fast! Clipping Box Tops benefits students and faculty alike! You can submit your Box Tops using a sandwich baggie or envelope or try some of the handy collection sheets. You can find lots of great collection sheets at the Box Tops website by going to the following web address www.boxtops4education.com/activitycenter. Don't forget to put your childs name, grade and teacher on the baggie, envelope or collection sheet.

Guidelines for submitting Box Tops!

I am often asked questions about submitting Box Tops so I thought I would post a few general guidelines:

*Box tops don't have to be trimmed exactly but keep in mind that for cost saving purposes we want to make our package as light as possible to avoid high shipping costs. So, don't fret about being exact but try not to send in the whole top of the cereal box :)

*Box Tops can be sent in any sort of envelope or clear plastic baggie. We don't mind what you send them in really, as long as you mark your childs name and the name of the teacher so they can get credit for contests and prizes!

*There are now collection sheets that you can utilize as well. When it comes time to send Box Tops to General Mills, these collection sheets save us lots of time because they don't require as much counting. Post a collection sheet on your refrigerator and every time you clip a Box Top, use a childs glue stick to attach the Box Top to the collection sheet. In no time, the sheet will be full!
